Spring and a Time of Renewel

Recently, I have been going through yet another evolution of sorts.  Perhaps I have been hard on myself, but I still feel my jewelry skills have a long way to go before I can really call myself "artisan."  Yet others see me as just that, and it certainly does make me feel more confident and urge me ever forward.

Over the last few months, my love of talisman jewelry has grown.  It's the authenticity of the creations that I see that inspire me. Personally, I'd find happiness in wearing a simple rock on a string, but more than one string and more than one focal piece in so intriguing.  But, the piece must be meaningful and from the heart, so the tricky part of the design is to allow the heart and soul of the piece I am working on to come through and guide my creation forward into being.  This is the way this most recent necklace was created.
